Howard Greenebaum founded Howard Insurance Agency, Inc., an independent insurance agency, nearly 25 years ago in Colorado. In 2017 Howard and his wife Hilary relocated to Oregon and continued to build upon a foundation of personal service and trust by providing expert knowledge and unmatched friendly customer service to seniors and their families in Oregon, Washington and California.

After working closely with Hilary for some time, husband and wife Christopher Aedo and Heather O’Neill purchased the agency in 2025, allowing Hilary to begin enjoying her much-deserved retirement in 2026.

As an independent insurance agency, Howard Insurance Agency works hard to maintain our commitment to professionalism and personal service. As an independent insurance agency, our loyalty is to you, our clients and their families. Our experience allows us to better serve you regarding our various Medicare Supplement plans, Medicare Advantage plans, Part D Prescription Drug Plans and other health insurance products.

I am a father to two wonderful teenage boys and the lucky husband of an incredible wife and partner Heather who inspires me every day. Our family wouldn’t be complete without Maisie, our beagle mix, Zoey, our beagle, and their two best friends Taco Cat and Nacho Cat. After a 30-year career in tech, ranging from innovative startups to industry giants like IBM, I found myself deeply involved in health-tech. My work focused on optimizing molecular diagnostic tests, a mission driven by making healthcare more accessible and affordable for everyone. This professional journey sparked a profound realization: I wanted to shift to a career where I could make a tangible difference in people’s lives every day.

Volunteering as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) has reinforced my commitment to helping others. Working alongside the foster care system, I strive to ensure that children find themselves in supportive, nurturing environments and that their needs are addressed at home, in school, and in regard to their health. It’s been an incredibly rewarding and humbling experience.

My personal experiences, including providing care for my aging parents and navigating the complex health insurance landscape, have taught me the true value of compassion and diligence. From my father’s challenges and complications from a stroke to managing my mother’s ovarian cancer treatment, I learned the vital importance of advocacy and persistence to secure the best care possible.
